It's The Secret Life of Bees movie. Based on the book by Sue Monk Kidd about a young girl named Lily who is in search of her mother's past set in South Carolina in the early 60's. This book has got to be one of the few that I've read that has kept me turning each page with extreme anticipation and excitement. I consider it as one of my favorite books next to God of Small Things (Arundhati Roy) and Eleven Minutes (Paulo Coelho). I'm thinking if I should read it again...
---This week has gone by so fast without me even knowing it. Tomorrow will be a big day! I need to head out to Red Hook to swing by Ikea (a first!) to get some fabric for the sofa I'm having re-upholstered for my upcoming window at work. Heres the fabric I initially planned on using...
Ideally it has to be a bold and graphic black and white stripe, which the second is some what close to my initial idea. But who knows, I just need to see all the fabrics available up close to be able to decide on which one to cover the sofa. Then after work, I'm off to the Brooklyn Museum to go see the Gilbert&George retrospective opening for it's members.

The British duo are expected to give a short talk about their work some time in the evening. The museum also will be raffling off two original prints to lucky members. Ricky is in town so I've asked him to tag along with me (despite the short notice). It should be a fun Thursday! Good vibes, good times.
