not quite.

Thursday wasn't quite what I hoped for.

I was totally bummed out by IKEA. All the fabrics I wanted to use either had too big of a print or was "currently sold out!". Stressed out by the limited choices they had, I decided to hit the garment district instead. From Brooklyn, I had to haul my ass all the way up to midtown. I didn't want to shoot arrows in the dark going to some place totally unfamiliar to me but I had to suck it up. Good thing I found THE perfect (and a little pricy) fabric to use after a good 45minutes of searching store to store. At $22/yard, I was able to ask for a little discount and ended up spending $60 instead of $66 for 3 yards. I got in at work around 2pm where I spent the next 5 hours amusing myself from being totally bored and acting busy. It was one of those days where what seemed to be 3 days were crammed into one. Not amusing.

OH! I also felt a little gross from having IKEA's 99cent breakfast. So disappointed.

Anyway. Went to the Brooklyn Museum with Ricky after work and was able to have Gilbert&George sign a copy of their book and my exhibition invite as well. I liked how everything was bold and graphic. Though I have to come back to see the exhibition again as I was just too tired to really look and my head wasn't really into digesting art last night. Sigh.

Tomorrow, I'll try to have a better day.
