Thanks to Rosh Hashanah I am on a two day holiday from work. So in anticipation of a some what ideally productive day, I went to Target last night to stock on house hold cleaning stuff like Method's tub cleaner, a toilet cleaner with disposable pads (keeping a brush freaks me out) and of course Drano so I could finally do some cleaning around the apartment.
Took me half a day to get the energy to do the daunting task of cleaning. But a couple hours later I was able to clean the kitchen floors, kitchen table, living room rug, toilet, tub and sink. So the apartment is now nice and clean. It smells like ylang-ylang, mint and ginger. I also bought a Glade plug-in so now my room will always smell like a pile of clean linens. I even made my bed. Hah!
Next project: bedroom general cleaning and re-arranging/re-decorating.
So tomorrow I head out to SoHo to go to "work" at my raket place. It should be an easy day. Maybe I can drag out one of my friends to even meet up after work. Craig and I were talking about how everyone is so busy in NY that it's hard to find hang-out time. Coincidentally, I read this article about how someone described NY as responsible... meaning people are always running around doing everything. Fast lane much?

I came across this article over at Apartment Therapy on DIY potato chips via the microwave. I've tried this before with one of my roomies. It's pretty good but really tedious and time consuming. We both felt woozy afterwards I guess from standing in front of the microwave...
