running with a spoon in your hand.

I'm trying to get back into running again. Woke up at 7:15am today and jumped out of bed to make sure I wouldn't head back to sleep. Haven't done any running since my GERD incident last year. I think I'm alright now, I've started to drink regular iced coffee from the Korean Deli around the corner from where I work so I guess it would be safe to say that I'm ok. Starbuko coffee sucks. Everything from the Korean Deli is quite tasty and quite frankly I would rather give my business to any mom n pop establishments at this economy ( Tho I am, and forever will be, grateful for Starbuko for giving me a job when I first moved...). It's my own way of trying to save NY.

Back to running. I ran a total of 3.8 miles today. Thanks to Gmaps Pedometer I can keep track of how much the actual distance I run.

Since I've only gone back to it after a year I may have become a little rusty on the running. My usual run is about 5 miles which is the entire round of the park. See?

Today, I ran this much...

and this.

I had to walk for a "bit" to catch my breath and make sure I dont pass out on the ground. Kakahiya.

Hopefully in three weeks time I will be able to run my usual route. Since fall is coming and it's going to be colder outside as the Winter comes I might have to run at my school's gym which I have yet to check out. I plan to run all year. This gives me the leeway to eat (yeah!) and make me sleep earlier than my past midnight sleeping habits.

From exercise to eating, boy I can jump this fast. I found this while blog hopping.

mmmmm.... ice cream.This is insane!

It's from this place called Empire Ice Cream. There is no way for me to be able to taste this since it's only available in Seattle. I'm going to bug Lloyd to try and see if he likes it since he now lives there.

In the mean time, I would have to make do with Sundaes & Cones... and when I say make do, I mean that in the most indulgent and loving way. Wasabi, Black Sesame and Guava? How can you go wrong. I've been smitten with this place for the past two weeks now. I've dragged Karla and every one else I could just to find a reason to get a scoop.
