Skype.

During my first six months here in NY, I would call my family long distance every Sunday after I heard mass at St.Patrick's. I would get these $10 call cards at Duane Reade and would talk to them for about 45minutes... sometimes less depende kung may topak yung phone line o wala. Anyway, after each time I would talk to them I would be homesick and sad not being able to see them. But since August, I have been using Skype. Because video calls can be made (salamat Macbook) I now get to see them each time we talk. Being able to see them actually cuts down my homesickness quotient here. Such a big help!

So thank you Skype. Not only do I get video calls with my family for free...

I also get to see our choco dog, Cosimo.
