free magazine.

One of my good customers at work is a food editor of a foodie magazine. I know this for a fact because I asked him one time what he was going to do with all the assortment of kitchen ware he was buying. When I say assortment, as in nothing made sense. A loose flatware tarnished with age here, a couple mid-century dishes there. He said he was buying for food shots' prop styling. So thats why! I was amazed!

Anyway, he came into the store today to do his regular prop shopping and finally gave me a copy of their magazine which he promised me almost a month ago.

Here it is.

I also asked him before, out of curiosity, how their prop storage looked liked. I thought it would be an amazing place to be. Imagine all the assortment of kitchen ware in a single room?! He said it was pretty impressive and that he was running out of space and may have to get rid of some.

Speaking of prop storage, I saw this...

Martha Stewart's prop room for her show and magazines. How sick is that? People who work in this prop room are called prop librarians. These librarians know what and how many of each prop is there in the prop room. Everything is organized in an oh-so-anal way, heck everything is bar coded!

...I want to work there.
