Today and last Friday was the MFA open studios in school. We were asked to stay put in our studios for a good solid 5 hours, but that went by too fast in my opinion. I wished I was able to talk to everyone, especially my friends who came but since people were in and out the whole time it was so hard to keep track of everyone. It's very similar during one's show opening, one never really gets to finish a conversation. Quite frustrating, but hey! I think I had a pretty good flow of visitors in my studio. Family, friends, friends of friends, other kids in the program, other kids in school, random people, random weird people. It was a good mix and I pretty much think that I got a good sense of the feedback from my work. Met quite a few people and got some nice "critiques" along the way. Also was able to get to know my studio neighbors and their work. I feel a little more into it (school) now.
I'm looking forward to the open studios in the spring, I bet every ones' work will be even better by then.
