random stuff, as usual.

It's nice and sunny outside! Almost like Spring except that the streets are speckled with leaves of various orange. I think I'm going to stroll for a little bit after work in Chelsea later. I need to stop by The Container Store and try and pick-up something for my sculpture class for next week. Also going to look at that vintage jewelry store on 17th. My friend Ryan got a ring from the 50's yesterday and feel inspired to finally find the ring I've been looking for. There's this one ring at my store that I've been lusting over for the past few months, it's a gold ring with a black male cameo from the 50's I think. So good, but it's a little big for any of my fingers... maybe I can get it sized?

I'm feeling a lot more creative since yesterday. Maybe because I've been cooped up in my room for the past week studying and writing mid-term papers. My German Art midterm went alright. I just wished I bothered memorizing dates for the slide identification part of the test. I left them blank except for a couple which I really knew and when I passed my second part of the test my professor asked me if I atleast wanted to fill out and guess dates so she can give me more credit. That was really nice of her and so I tried but since I've only had two hours of sleep the night before and my brain was totally fried I couldn't even guess the dates to save my life. Sigh. So I just gave back my paper and she said that I got atleast half a point for credit. I kinda feel bad for not even trying. :(

Now that the scholarly dust is settling, I get to paint and do more art. Tomorrow I'm spending the day at the studio to work on some pieces I want to get going so it should be fun. Also planning to drop by my friends' studios cause I haven't seen them in forever.

Tomorrow is Halloween too. I already have a costume, I plan to be a "germ" and have this short black long haired faux fur coat covered in neon green pompoms that my frien made that I loaned. But it seems I'm going to pass up on going out tomorrow cause I feel exhausted from the past week not getting any proper sleep and practically being on the edge because of my German Art midterm. I actually went out last night for a bit to come see Ryan cause it was his birthday. They were having this Halloween Burlesque show at The Slipper Room. Hoola hoops and lace, feathers and glitter, pasties and men with moustaches oogling at jiggling boobies. Maybe I've had enough Halloween...?
