post birthday.

It really doesn't feel any different being 28. Maybe because when people ask me how old I am I always say "twenty-eight." instead of 27. Saying 28 slips out of my tongue easier than proclaiming I'm 27. Hmm.

I wanted my birthday to be very quiet and simple. I got myself things that I've always wanted: a number of art books and a few things from the H&M X CdG line. Prune was also on my birthday wish list, which I got the night before my birthday and all my friends greeted me, which was nice... thank you all! I would say it was a great birthday.

So here are some photos from my birthday. The best birthday gift I got was having Mel come over from Boston. We had a great time running around the city and had the most amazing dinner at Prune (another one down from my resto list). Thank you Mel for being in the city on my 28th :)

P.S.

I remember buying a Polaroid camera when I was 19. I loved it, but then the film was just way too expensive... I just wanted to take random pictures of things, places and people. I think my style of taking pictures was heavily influenced after reading VICE magazine (hello Ryan Mcginley). Their photos are always very raw, which I liked. Anyway, I digress. Going back to Polaroids, almost a decade later I find this application. Very nice indeed.
