After trying numerous times to steal Karla away from her extremely busy schedule from school I finally got to get her to come with me last Saturday to see Olafur's Waterfalls by the Brooklyn Bridge. Patrick and Blair decided to come with. The funny thing is, we totally forgot to take a good look at the falls when we reached the bottom of the bridge. I guess the long line (an estimated hour wait) at the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory totally distracted us since we headed to DUMBO instead to look for snacks. We found ourselves getting excited at Almondine's (hello, macaroons...) ice cream and sorbet selections. The mango passion fruit sorbet was a burst of sunshine! A scoop of ice cream or sorbet was accompanied by two chewy pastel pink macaroons. I guess I now have two reasons to come back next time... for the Waterfalls and for the sorbet.
