satellite workspace.
For the last couple weeks I've been asked to work at our warehouse in Brooklyn twice a week. Our warehouse reminds me of those loft apartments that artists live in in movies. Floor to ceiling windows, wooden floors, service elevators and the smell of industrial fumes from neighboring buildings. We would joke about asking our big boss to allow us to live there in the space instead. Working there is a lot of manual labor like lifting furniture and going thru boxes and bags of clothing but being in the warehouse makes the day go by faster and the fact that I don't have to deal with customers is always a good thing. Iced coffee is the fuel of choice and listening to 101.9 fm keeps us sane by providing us really good classic rock and alternative music to have singing and dance breaks to. I think one of the things that I like about working for a non-profit organization is the fact that I don't need to take my work home with me. I clock in, and clock out.
