spontaneous walks.

This morning I decided to work at my "satelite work station" also known as the Housing Works Bookstore in SoHo. With the highs hitting 92 degrees, I needed every comfort I could get to work. Free WiFi, pretty good iced coffee and the AC was almost full blast not to mention the old library feel thats personally quite comforting. I was able to work on and finish a project I had a Friday deadline for... sweet!

Since I finished relatively early in the afternoon I took a stroll around and bumped into my friend Chris, hit Uniqlo and decided to pop in at DQ where my roomie Keith works.

I thought how it would be a waste to go home and stay in the apartment when everybody is running around the city enjoying the heat. Since I've always wanted to cross the Brooklyn Bridge, I decided it was the perfect day to do it. The walk was great! Seeing the Manhattan Bridge (for a change), spotting out the tiny Statue of Liberty, people watching. Of course, one thing led to another. After walking the bridge and even before I realized it, I was at the Fulton Ferry Landing enjoying a scoop of strawberry ice cream from the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory and queuing up to go peep at the Telectroscope.

Long live spontaneity!
