©MURAKAMI.

I had a grand time at the ©MURAKAMI Members Preview last night. The most fun I've had in a while actually. Keith came with me too. I guess the relaxed atmosphere of the Brooklyn Museum and it's neighborhood lent itself to the mood. The crowd was a mix of families (One Japanese family was complete from lola to apo.), girls toting their Murakami bags, octogenarians, and anybody else wanting to be in Murakami's Superflat world.

Two floors housing Murakami's art, an LV pop-up store, a Kaikai Kiki gift shop, over flowing refreshments of booze and dumplings, a fun DJ who spun dance happy tunes... I was a happy boy at the end of the night.

Too happy that I bought the ©MURAKAMI book that accompanied the exhibition.

I also was able to get Murakami sign my invite... yay!

I think I may have to retract my early thoughts about the Monogramouflage... I saw the three versions (2 canvas, 1 denim) up close and I have to say, I may "need" one come June 1.
